The Clay Wars
The Clay Wars were fought between the great Ulari and Ayrgari nations before the dawn of recorded history. The causes are not documented, but it is known that the Ulari cut Runnermines into vast areas of the First Continent and carved the huge valleys that form the stripes of the Banded Wood.
Whilst losses were high on both sides, the Ulari’s talent for the creation of automatons allowed them to take huge losses without losing a single Ulari. The Ayrgari eventually capitulated and were permitted to retain only the woodland portion of their once vast empire.
